Atlantic Coast Conference to use StatMonitr for its 2011 Football Championship Game

GREENSBORO, N.C. -- The Atlantic Coast Conference reached an agreement with StatBroadcast Systems today to use its StatMonitr media stats system at the 2011 ACC Football Championship Game. StatBroadcast will provide a live, real-time feed of the championship game stats to media and staff at the event.

The ACC Championship Game will be played on December 3, 2011 at Bank of America Stadium in Charlotte, North Carolina, before a national television audience. The game will match the winners of the Atlantic and Coastal divisions, with the conference champion receiving an automatic bid to the Orange Bowl.

The Atlantic Coast Conference was established in 1953 and currently sponsors competition in 25 Division-I sports. It's 12-team membership is divided into two divisions, the Atlantic (Boston College, Maryland, NC State, Florida State, Wake Forest Clemson) and the Coastal (Virginia Tech, Georgia Tech, Miami, Virginia, Duke and North Carolina). Conference members Duke and Georgia Tech are also current StatBroadcast partners.
