University of Miami selects StatMonitr for 2013-14

CORAL GABLES, FLA. -- The University of Miami and StatBroadcast Systems reached agreement today to use the StatMonitr media stats system for Miami athletic events in 2013-14. Miami will utilize StatBroadcast's web-based media stats and its wireless stat monitors, as well as using the system to power a closed-circuit television feed of real-time statistical data throughout the pressbox and suites of SunLife Stadium.

The University of Miami is a private university founded in 1925 and located in Coral Gables, Florida, located southwest of Downtown Miami; Miami had an enrollment of 15,657 this past school year. The Miami Hurricanes are members of the Atlantic Coast Conference of NCAA Division I and field teams in 17 varsity sports. The Hurricanes football team is currently ranked fourth all-time for National Championships having notched five, in 1987, 1989, 1991 and 2011; they have also won 9 conference titles, fielded two Heisman trophy winners and appeared in 34 bowl games, including 5 appearances in BCS Bowls during the BCS era. The Miami baseball program is also recognized as one of the top in the nation, having won four National Championships (1982, 1985, 1999 and 2001) and reached the College World Series 23 times since 1974; they also current hold the NCAA record for most consecutive appearances in the NCAA tournament at 41, a streak which is currently still active (1971 - 2013).

Miami is the seventh member of the ACC to partner with StatBroadcast. The ACC conference also partners with StatBroadcast for its football and basketball championships.
